

December 10, 2020- Dar es Salaam: The Hadithi Lab Company in partnership with Tanzania Breweries Limited (TBL) today launched the new Bando la Kicheko (Laughter Bundle) University edition. The “Bando la Kicheko” (Laughter Bundle) is a youth forum that uses comedy art to educate young people through the art.
The purpose of organizing this festival is first to show students and Tanzanians in general the diversity of entertainment in this growing industry. The second is to entertain students during periods of stress.
“We believe there is power in Laughter. We believe a happy student is a student with good mental health and the third is to discover and show the many talents of the Art of comedy through these concerts. Where you will see that some of the comedians and organizers of these concerts are students of the art industry, ”said Director of Story Lab, Edward Shila.


For her part, the sponsor of the forum from TBL, Abigail Mutaboyerwa said that they believe that through comedy they will be able to help build a nation of happier and more self-aware young people.
“We as TBL recognize the importance of entertaining students with a different art but also the importance of using civilized alcohol as they begin to become independent and learn new things,” said Mutaboyerwa
These concerts will be held in 4 regions, which are Dar es Salaam, Mwanza, Arusha and Dodoma where in this comedy arts festival or stand up comedy colleges in the mentioned regions will be involved in organizing these concert.
Bando la kicheko is a Youth Forum that makes Comedy Art. The platform, which started in Arusha, is made up of 5 budding artists who came together to showcase their talents and give other young people a chance to be seen while providing education on how to live smartly while in college.
