Minister of Works and Transport Hon. Dr. Leonard Chamuriho has called on the Ministry of Works and Transport to work in accordance with work ethic to increase efficiency.
Speaking to the management of the Construction and Transport Sector immediately after arriving at the office in Dodoma, he urged the management to unite employees from all sectors to work based on measurable results.
“Plan to ensure that all employees work in unity and cooperation to achieve the goals expected by the Government in improving infrastructure in the country,” said Eng. Dr. Chamuriho.
He asked the Secretary-General-Construction Arch. Elius Mwakalinga and Acting Secretary General for Transport Gabriel Migire to ensure that all ongoing projects are completed on time and productively.
For his part, the Deputy Minister of Works and Transport, Eng. Godfrey Kasekenya has called on the Ministry’s management to set a regular schedule for inspecting projects to obtain progress reports and to take early action for challenging projects.
Welcoming the Minister and Deputy Minister, the Permanent Secretary Construction has assured the leaders of the cooperation between them management and staff for the sectors he oversees.
