Home and Office furniture retail company GSM Group has launched its festive season competition dubbed, ‘Shinda na imarisha nyumba yako’ alongside another campaign named jishindie safari ya utalii ngorongoro’ a competition designated to allow the retailer’s loyal customers and new ones a chance to win a number of valuable items during the year-ending festive season.

Speaking after holding a press briefing to officiate the start of the competition at Mlimani City Shopping Mall in Dar es Salaam, GSM’s Chief Commercial Officer, Mr Allan Chonjo, stated that the reason for creating such competition is to offer the company’s loyal and new clients a chance to win grand prizes during the year-ending holiday season.

“2020 has been a very challenging year for everyone especially following the outbreak of COVID-19 which disrupted most of the socioeconomic activities that were ongoing and people’s personal plans. Seeing this, we realized we had the obligation to come up with the competition so that everyone may have a chance to own merchant products of their dreams from GSM Home and GSM Retail,” said GSM’s Commercial Officer, Allan Chonjo.

The competition will include both GSM Home which specializes in selling home and office products and GSM Retail which focuses on selling clothing products under the other brands such as Splash, Babyshop, Shoexpress, ANTA, Max and HomeBox which sells home items.

The competition kicked off on 1st December is expected to take place in 4 phases. In each phase, the winner will win special prizes from either GSM Home or GSM Retail. In this competition, every citizen can compete hence earning a coupon after purchasing GSM items worth 1 million and above. Thus, granting the competitor a chance to win various goods that will change the appearance of one’s home,” said GSM Home’s Marketing Coordinator, Smart Deus.

On his side, GSM Retail’s Marketing Coordinator, Malick Mosha said, “a customer who buys clothes worth TZS 50,000 in a single purchase will have a chance to enter the competition and win various prizes such as a voucher worth TZS 250,000 or the grand prize of a prepaid trip to Ngorongoro national park.”

“Our goal is to ensure that we continue being the leading retailer and service provider by meeting the needs of our customers and offering high-value products at affordable prices. Hence, improving our customers’ lives altogether.” Added Allan Chonjo.

On the other hand, the trip will be coordinated by the company’s GSM Travel which specializes in organizing indoor and outdoor trips.
