NMB Bank Launches ‘Mwanamke Jasiri’ Women’s Club

  NMB Bank has launched a special women’s club titled Mwanamke Jasiri (Brave Women), which aims to encourage women to recognize the various opportunities within NMB for their development and the nation as a whole.

  Elaborating at the inauguration ceremony held at Mlimani City Hall – Dar es Salaam, NMB’s Chief Shared Services – Nenyuata Mejooli stated that NMB in recognizing and appreciating the contribution of women in the development of our Nation, has launched the club as a collection of a variety of products and services that can support women economically and uplift them commercially and represent the opportunities they can access through NMB.

In summary, the products available in the Jasiri package are Fanikiwa Account, Pamoja Account, Employeed Women Loans (SWL), NMB Mobile, Insurance, Dunduliza and others.

The Guest of Honor at the event, Judge of the Court of Appeal of Tanzania Hon. Judge Joaquine De Mello commended NMB Bank for believing that unifying the women in the country, and creating awareness of the opportunities within NMB bank such as loans and business education; they can use this for personal development, their families and the nation as a whole, through which they will have made a significant contribution and ultimately liberated this nation economically.

The event brought together more than 170 Women Entrepreneurs and Business individuals, including NMB Board Member – Ms. Margaret Ikongo, who participated in a debate on topics that were crucial to women’s participation in formal financial services to ensure women’s access to them is simple and secure.

Additionally they used the opportunity to get acquanted, exchange ideas and further to meet with NMB Bank experts and learn more about NMB’s various services and products.

NMB’s commitment is only one, to provide quality banking services, productive and relevant to the needs of women in the country.
