The Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Tourism, Dr. Aloyce K. Nzuki called on the staff and officials of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Tourism to begin implementing the orders regarding the Natural Resources and Tourism Sector issued by the President of the United Republic of Tanzania, Dr. John Pombe Magufuli, November 13 this year while inaugurating Parliament in Dodoma.
He called upon the staff to act on some of the promises of the sector made during the General Election campaign held on October 28 this year. Dr. Nzuki issued the instructions at the Staff Workshop meeting of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Tourism held today in Dodoma.
He stressed that the speech given by Hon. President Dr. John Pombe Magufuli in Parliament has given direction on the implementation of various Government plans during the 5 years of his leadership calling for efforts to be directed at the beekeeping sector including the establishment of beekeeping industries.
Dr. Nzuki has instructed the Ministry of Forestry and Beekeeping to begin implementing these guidelines by sitting with the Forestry Research Institute (TAFORI) in order to conduct beekeeping research to produce quality bee products.
Expressing at the staff meeting, Dr. Nzuki called on the Ministry to start working on the establishment of Coastal Tourism and Ship Tourism in collaboration with the Tanzania Port Authority as well as placing emphasis on hunting tourism activities that will stimulate the growth of the industry to reach the target of five million tourists by 2025.
While instructing, Dr. Nzuki urged the Ministries to expedite the implementation of these plans immediately instead of waiting for the Ministry’s strategic plan.
